So is it racist?

Here we are again with another blatantly bigoted marketing from a white owned company. Clothing retailer H&M, a Swedish line, published an image at their website of a little black boy in a sweatshirt that reads “Coolest monkey in the jungle” while a white boy is dressed in a matching sweatshirt that reads: “survival expert”.

Is that racist?

H&M apologized on Monday for an image appearing in its online store that showed a black child model wearing a hooded sweatshirt that said “coolest monkey in the jungle.” The company removed the image on Monday and said it would also pull the shirt from its stores worldwide.

“We are deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print,” the company said in a statement. “Therefore, we have not only removed the image from our channels, but also the garment from our product offering globally.”

The fact is, these actions by white owned and globally known companies are NOT mistakes! They do this intentionally to stir the hate and gain attention. However the problem is not all on the White folks who may be bigoted, but the Black folks who partake in the show. They are the folks who tend to get the moniker "house negro".
